Electric Motors

Electric motors are generally one of two kinds. AC, or alternating current, motors or DC, direct current, motors. Electrical motors are the most common type of motor. They work by turning electrical energy into mechanical energy through a series of processes. This type of motor can be used in everything from refrigerators to vehicles.

AC Electric Motor

AC, or alternating current, motors work much in the same way as DC motors. They use electrical energy and convert it into mechanical energy, which is used to power many different appliances. There are two different kinds of AC motors: synchronous motors and induction motors. AC motors generally operate a bit better than DC motors because they are better lubricated and have a longer life.

Baldor Electric Motor

Baldor has built a tradition of producing only the best motors in the business. With AC motors, DC motors, servo motors, and any number of accessories, a Baldor motor could be operating anything from your refrigerator to your vehicle.

DC Electric Motor

DC, or direct current, electric motors are used in any number of household appliances. This type of motor uses electric energy and converts it into mechanical energy which can be used to power many things. There are a number of accessories that can be added to DC electric motors to enhance any number of characteristics.

Electric Compressor Motor

Electric compressor motors are most often used in cooling or refrigeration. The motor compresses heat, or hot air, and turns it into cool air through a series of tubes. This can be used in a vehicle to prevent overheating, or in a refrigerator to keep your food items cool.

Electric Motor Starters

Without a motor starter, your motor is useless. An electric motor starter generally has only two components, the contactor, which allows the motor to operate several different circuits from a single switch. The other component is the overload which monitors the amount of electrical current coming in, and shut the motor down if overheating could damage the motor.

General Electric Motor

When Thomas Alva Edison first produced an electric light, the company that developed his ideas is what is now known as General Electric. With their long tradition of ingenuity and excellence, they have produced some of the most important inventions of our time. With many kinds of both AC and DC motors, using General Electric to power every appliance in your home is a definite possibility.

Leeson Electric Motor

Leeson Electric Company has been producing high quality motors since the 1970s. With many types of AC motors and DC motors, plus a wide range of drives and gear products, this company produces almost any motor component that you could think of. Leeson is a very customer oriented company and is happy to produces custom designs of all kinds.

Lincoln Electric Motor

Lincoln Motors have been producing high class motors since 1895 and have perfected the art of building motors that are both functional and long lasting. Producing everything from single phase motors to specialty motors, this company strives for excellence, and reaches their goal with nearly every motor produced.

Small Electric Motor

Small electric motors are built in the same way as regularly sized models, only miniaturized. They can accomplish the same tasks, just at a smaller scale. These motors are used in smaller appliances, such as hand held fans, or even small music boxes.
